Cold

The winter cold has finally found us here in New York. It was amazing being able to walk outside in a t-shirt in January. I would say even a bit surreal. But winter has found us. Brrrr.....
In spite of the cold I have been searching online for summer clothes. I'm getting ready for a vacation with my husband to a resort in Mazatlan Mexico. Another couple is traveling with us and we are very excited!
Socializing is one of the things about being "a couple" that I am still getting used to. My single friends want to spend time with me alone, my married friends want us to hang out with "just couples" and then the couples with kids are another category entirely. But despite all the politics involved in negotiating frienships both within and without a spouse, on January 21 we will have been married three entire months and yes, it still feels like our honeymoon.

I enjoyed your new post. The winter weather in January is a shock. We should be enjoying the January Thaw at this time of year, but as there was nothing to thaw, we had an ice storm instead, leaving thousands without power after a blackout. But enough misery – I was planning an escape from winter to Southern California but I think it’s colder than it is here! I love citrus fruit but there has been so much damage to the Calif. crops that we won’t get that much. So far I haven’t made new winter vacation plans but I’ll let you know when I think of something.
